OGDEN, Utah — The thief who allegedly robbed ISU Credit Union at gunpoint
Randy Jordan, 44, has been on the run from authorities since July 26, when he allegedly entered an ISU Credit Union branch in Chubbuck, Idaho, displayed a gun and tied up two employees before leaving with an undisclosed amount of money.
Jordan allegedly walked into the Bank of Utah office at 115 Washington Blvd. Thursday afternoon and placed what he said was an explosive device in front of a teller, according to Ogden police.
He allegedly demanded money and then fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The bank teller dropped in an exploding dye pack among the cash that Jordan allegedly stole, according to police, who believe the pack exploded while in Jordan's possession, covering him with dye.
Jordan allegedly fled from the bank and is still at large. The office was evacuated for several hours while the local bomb squad examined the package, eventually determining that the bomb was fake.
