GROTON, Conn.-Members who lose their jobs or are facing other certain hardships will have their fees waived when they withdraw funds from their share term certificates at Charter Oak FCU.
The 70 year-old institution has long allowed depositors in need to utilize this option. Exceptions to the fee for early withdrawal penalties include: the involuntary loss of employment where the depositor is qualified for unemployment benefits or the death, terminal illness or permanent disability of the certificate holder or a member of their immediate family.
