CULedger joins R3 blockchain ecosystem

CULedger has joined the global blockchain ecosystem of enterprise software company R3, the two groups announced today.

The alignment marks CULedger’s latest growth move, following a partnership earlier this year with Hedera Hashgraph to utilize its hashgraph and public ledger solutions, and a similar partnership last year with Swirlds.

R3’s global network, according to a Wednesday press release, comprises more 200 financial services firms, technology companies, central banks, regulators and trade associations which use Corda, an enterprise-grade blockchain platform.

CULedger also said it is preparing to unveil the pilot program for MyCUID, its flagship product, described on the company's website as a product that can help credit union members "confidently protect themselves from financial fraud and identity theft.”

“We are very excited to work with R3 in some capacity,” CULedger President and Chief Operating Officer John Ainsworth said in Wednesday's press release. “Being part of this vast ecosystem will play a part in our ability to develop additional use cases beyond digital identities for credit unions and their members. We are looking forward to continuing our relationship with R3 as CULedger moves out of the pilot stage.”
