MADISON, Wis. CUNA on Monday announced it has added a CU volunteer to its board, which otherwise is comprised of credit union professionals.
Appointed to the board was John Sackett, a volunteer with the $1.3-billion Royal CU in Eau Claire, Wis. Sackett also chairs CUNA’s Volunteer Leadership Committee. While Sackett will attend board meetings he will not have a vote and will be there to “represent the volunteer viewpoint,” according to CUNA.
The move comes about a year after rising delinquency levels prompted SBA to raise lender fees and tightened underwriting standards in its flagship 7(a) program.
