MADISON, Wis.—CUNA has named Jill Tomalin deputy chief of staff.
In her newly created role, Tomalin will be responsible for advising CUNA's president and overseeing the association's operations. She will also maintain her current title and responsibilities as chief operating officer.
Tomalin has held several senior-level roles at CUNA, since joining the association in 2000. She also previously worked at the Credit Union Executives Society and the Texas Credit Union League.
"Jill's promotion is a clear sign that our trade association's Washington and Madison operations are in sync and complement one another," said Jim Nussle, CUNA's chief executive, in a press release Tuesday. "I want the strongest team possible here at CUNA - and placing Jill in this leadership role assures we are building the strongest possible team."
