CUNA Mutual Group has enhanced its online "Bondability Program" to enable speedier hiring by providing credit unions with secured and more prompt bondability verification responses on the Internet, the company reported. In addition, CUNA Mutual said it is developing the "Protection Resource Center" on its website to be a "one- stop" shop where credit union Bond policyholders "receive timely information on current risk trends, risk management tools and information, articles, and updates on the latest services and innovations." "With privacy concerns on all of our minds, CUNA Mutual is taking the necessary steps to ensure that credit unions and our company are protected," said Marc Krasnick, senior VP-Credit Union Protection division.
Effective July 2002, delivery options for submitting bondability verification requests will be through CUNA Mutual's secured Internet site www.cunamutual.com, or through the U.S. Postal Service. Faxes will no longer be supported because it is not considered a secured delivery method.
