MADISON, Wis. CUNA Mutual Group announced this morning it is transitioning its Employee Benefits book of business to Digital Insurance, the nation’s leading employee benefits-only agency.
Digital Benefit Advisors, the largest division of Digital Insurance, will service this business, providing resources, expertise and education to help credit unions prepare for the complexities of health care reform required by the Affordable Care Act, known as Obamacare.
Over the next several weeks, CUNA Mutual Group sales representatives will contact their 3,200 Employee Benefits credit union customers to discuss the benefits of working with Digital Insurance and ensure a smooth transition process.
As part of this transaction, several CUNA Mutual Group Employee Benefits representatives will be joining the Digital Insurance team.
The transition builds on a partnership CUNA Mutual Group and Digital Insurance initiated in February, when the companies announced they were partnering to provide health care reform education to credit unions.
“When we are unable to provide the best solution on our own, we have a successful track record of bringing in market leaders like DBA to deliver those solutions to credit unions,” said Robert Trunzo, president, CUNA Mutual Group Insurance & Financial Services Company.
“Digital offers a true brokerage/consultative solution, and CUNA Mutual Group customers will have continuity of service through many of the same team members they’ve relied on for years,” said Adam Bruckman, president and CEO of Digital Insurance.
