CUNA Touts GAC Via Video Mail

CUNA has begun sending its first video e-mails promoting its Governmental Affairs Conference, set for Feb. 24-27 in Washington. The technology permits CUNA President Dan Mica to send a video message to more than 1,500 credit union leaders in which he personally invites them to attend the meeting.

Recipients opening the e-mail are immediately presented with a one-half minute streamed video message (in Windows Media player format) that features Mica speaking and extending the invitation.

"We felt using this technology not only gives credit unions a chance to hear and see Dan Mica's personal invitation to the event, but its use was a clear demonstration of our commitment to giving credit unions key information with leading-edge media technology," said CUNA Senior VP-Communications Mark Wolff.
