CUNA Treasurer Harriet May said operating margin for the trade association was a strong $3 million, but $2.5 million in losses on its ownership share of CUNA Strategic Services and costs for the Little Guy trimmed the net income for CUNA and Affiliates to $500,000.

CUNA spent $1.1 million on the Little Guy last year and expects to spend another $1.2 million in 2008, the second of the two-year public relations and lobbying campaign, in which credit union services for people of modest means is depicted.

Revenue for 2007, including dues, was $57.2 million, while expenses were $54.2 million.
