CLEVELAND - (07/21/06) -- Chuck Zuver, the long-time chieflobbyist at CUNA and a well-known figure on Capitol Hill, underwentsuccessful quadruple heart bypass and valve replacement surgery atthe renown Cleveland Clinic last Friday. The 74-year-old Zuver isreported to be doing well and is expected back at home next week.Zuver served as chief lobbyist at CUNA for more than a decade until1996. Afterwards, he served as head of the fledgling NationalAssociation of Community CCs, and as lobbyist for the Virginia andD.C. credit union leagues.
