MIAMI – Dade County FCU launched its own version of mobile banking, a mobile branch.

The branch on wheels, which cost about $350,000 to buy and outfit, is staffed by three employees that can set up accounts and conduct banking transactions.
It also has an ATM, computer and phone access, TV, a refrigerator and a microwave.
The truck’s engine runs on diesel, but a generator powers the bank branch, the credit union can provide service after a hurricane or power outage. The $450 million also plans to send it to major events, like sports or concerts, or park it selected SEG offices.
