Dakota Territory FCU Goes Live With CO-OP Mobile

DEADWOOD, S.D. – Dakota Territory FCU is now offering CO-OP Mobile to its 3,400 members, providing them with mobile banking access, no matter what type of mobile device they own.

“We are already participating in CO-OP Shared Branching services, so this was the next logical step for us,” said Floyd Rummel, president of the $30 million credit union.

Both CO-OP Mobile and CO-OP Shared Branching operate on CO-OP’s Next Generation Network technology platform. As Dakota Territory FCU already was utilizing NGN via CO-OP Shared Branching, the credit union was able to be up and running on CO-OP Mobile on April 1, just 60 days after ordering the additional service.

CO-OP Mobile enables on-the-go banking via SMS/text, Web browser and downloadable applications for smartphones. With CO-OP Mobile, credit union members can check balances, make transfers and find CO-OP Network ATMs and CO-OP Shared Branching locations.

Dakota Territory FCU is one of 11 credit unions that ordered CO-OP Mobile for its members during the first quarter of 2011.
