ERIE, Penn.-Erie FCU has added a voluntary donation component to its EZ Saver Account.
The EZ Saver Account rounds up the amount of each debit card transaction to the next whole dollar amount. The round up amount is then deposited into the members EZ Saver Account at the end of each day.
The credit union added a voluntary matching deposit feature to the program, which could be donated to the John Kanzius Cancer Research Foundation. The credit union matched 100% of the amount donated by members and presented a check for $2,512.48 to the John Kanzius Cancer Research Foundation. The promotion will continue throughout 2009.
