Deputy Guns Down CU Robbery Suspect

WICHITA, Kan. – A sheriff’s deputy shot to death a man running from Credit Union of America early Wednesday morning after an apparent robbery at the branch.

A Sedgwick County Deputy who was in the area spotted the suspect and saw that he had a gun. The deputy fired shots, striking the suspect. Emergency crews pronounced the suspect dead at the scene.

Police have not said whether the suspect fired any shots, or whether the credit union was open at the time of the robbery.
