DFI Fees On Rise In Washington

OLYMPIA, Wash.-The Department of Financial Institutions said state-chartered CUs will pay 5.6% more in fees and assessments next year to fund the department's oversight.

Credit unions with $1 billion of assets or more will pay $29,808, or $1,571 more next year; those with $500 million up to $1 billion will pay $21,159, or $1,114 more next year; those of $100 million to $500 million will pay $5,883, or $310 more; and those with $25 million to $100 million will pay $1,296, or $68 more. As a result, the hourly fee will be raised to $64.35 on the first of the year.
