NORTH CANTON, Ohio – ATM maker Diebold on Wednesday said second quarter earnings declined 27% to $22.1 million, as sales slumped to a slight decline.
Second quarter revenues were $662.4 million, down from $665.2 million for the same period last year; while first half revenues also were down approximately 1% to $1.28 billion.
At the same time, expenses were up 10% for the second quarter and by almost 1% for the first six months. Second quarter expenses include a $3.8 million restructuring charge.
As a result, net income for the first six months of the year was down 57% to $23.3 million.
