WAREHAM, Mass. – Digital FCU has scheduled a public auction later this month for the Bay Pointe Country Club golf course it acquired in a foreclosure.
The golf course sits on 138 acres of land and includes an 11,074-square-foot clubhouse. The club was built in the late 1960s and was known as Wareham Country Club until 1988.
The auction is scheduled for June 22.
The country club filed for bankruptcy in 2006, the day before it was scheduled to go on the auction block.
The top five banks and thrifts had combined assets of more than $13 trillion as of December 31, 2023.
