SAN ANTONIO – A member of Service FCU was arrested Wednesday after he allegedly grabbed a teller and punched her in the face for telling him his funds were not available.
The member, Dwight Hampton, 41, was charged with aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury after the teller suffered a facial fracture, police said.
Hampton walked into the branch in South New Braunfels and asked if his funds were available, according to police. The teller, who told police she recognized Hampton “due to past conduct,” told the man they weren’t and while she e-mailed a co-worker about the man’s presence she said he reached over the counter and punched her in the left eye.
