DUBUQUE, Iowa - (10/27/04) --Dupaco Community CU said it is payingout $3 million in Christmas Club deposits to some 3,300 members whohave been saving up for the holidays. "As we approach the holidayseason, we want local retailers to be aware that this large sum ofmoney, which has been saved mainly for the purpose of holidaygift-giving, is being made available," said Bob Hoefer, presidentof the credit union. "We hope they will then act to attract thespending of these funds in the tri-state area for the benefit ofthe local economy."
