KINGSPORT, Tenn. – Rastman CU has announced a $100,000 contribution to the Wellmont Foundation for the purchase of the da Vinci Surgical System at Holston Valley Medical Center.

The surgical system enables physicians to perform surgeries robotically, resulting in smaller incisions, less pain, less scarring and quicker recovery time for the patient.
“ECU has more than 127,000 members nationwide, but the vast majority of those live, work and worship in the general area that’s served by the Wellmont Health System,” said Olan Jones, president of the $2.5 billion credit union.
