EducationFirst FCU To Add Nine In-Store Branches

BEAUMONT, Texas – EducationFirst FCU yesterday said it has signed contracts with Kroger and Brookshire Brothers to build as many as nine in-store branches in southeast Texas by the end of 2009.

The $220 million credit union said two of the branches will be in Kroger stores in Orange and Beaumont, and seven will be in the Brookshire Brothers locations in Vidor, Silsbee, Kountze, Woodville, Jasper, Sour Lake and Newton.

Construction and grand opening details will be announced at a later date.
