BOULDER, Colo. – Elevations CU, which has a branch in the University of Colorado’s Memorial Center, equipped its ATM with a voice guidance system that provides instructions to the user through a built-in audio port.
Members plug a standard set of headphones into the ATM's headphone jack to hear instructions.
A year ago, the university’s student government passed rules that require ATM providers in the UMC to install at least one machine that is accessible to those with visual impairments at the time their contracts are renewed, if not sooner.
