Cassie Wildermuth, 28, was charged after being questioned by credit union executives and police about the missing money.

Credit union officials told police they were concerned with Wildermuth because she had a history of dishonesty, although it had only involved minor incidents. They also told officers that when they questioned Wildermuth, they felt she appeared to be hiding something. Wildermuth allegedly was the last employee to conduct an audit, and it was discovered that among other things missing were two binders containing information about the last vault audit she performed toward the end of October.

Wildermuth has pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The two safecracking charges are fourth-degree felonies, while theft is a fifth-degree felony.
