GLADSDEN, Ala. – Community CU shut one branch yesterday while employees picketed the credit union’s two other branches over an impasse on contract negotiations.

The employees are represented by the United Steel Workers Local 12.
The branch on Albert Rains Boulevard will be closed temporarily because of the employees’ union negotiations. Workers carried picket signs and walked yesterday at the main branch on South 26th Street in Alabama City and at the Rainbow City location. The two branches remained open yesterday.
