SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Empower FCU has donated almost $40,000 of the $78,000 start-up costs for the New York State High School Football Classic, which will debut June 6 at Syracuse University’s Carrier Dome.
Funding support came from a number of corporate sponsors, including Under Armour, Time Warner Sports, ITS Sports, the U.S. Army and title sponsor Empower FCU.
About 100 varsity seniors, nominated by their high school coaches or who signed a National Letter of Intent with a Division I or Division I-AA football program, were invited to take part in the Classic.
