ROCKVILLE, Md. – Members and employees of Energy FCU marked the passing of James Childs, a longtime volunteer and former chairman of the board.
A member of Energy FCU for more than 30 years, Childs began his volunteer service as a member of the Forrestal Member Service Advisory Committee, designed to improve services for EFCU members. He was first elected to the credit union’s board in 1999 and served as its chairman from 2007 to 2011. He had been re-elected to serve an additional term as a director just a month before his passing.
