Ent Proudly Gives Back To Community

At Ent Federal Credit Union, giving back to the community is an important part of our culture, and year after year, our employees donate their time, talent and resources to support local causes in a meaningful way. Our employees are right now taking part in our annual United Way campaign, with a wide variety of events to raise funds in addition to payroll deductions. For example, employees participate in a fun and creative competition called Battle of the Baskets to auction off baskets filled with donated items. And employees donate $5 for the popular privilege of wearing jeans on Fridays.

I am proud to say that Ent employees have personally donated $911,000 in the past eight years for United Way. Ent employees have also joined members in raising funds for our spring campaign partners, and during that same period have contributed $278,000 to organizations such as the local chapters of the American Heart Association, American Cancer Society, Habitat for Humanity, and American Red Cross. Imagine the difference this total of $1,189,000 has made to non-profit organizations that directly meet the needs of our members the communities we serve!

In addition to these significant, ongoing donations of resources, our employees volunteer their time and talent with many local organizations, providing direct support to the causes that are important to them. Ent employees who log their volunteer hours are eligible to win quarterly awards to the local charity of their choice and are also eligible to receive a matching donation once a year for their contribution to a local charity.

I want to thank Ent employees for all that they have done, and are doing, to benefit our members and our communities through their philanthropic efforts.
