IRONDEQUOIT, N.Y. –Police were hunting yesterday for a man who held up the ESL FCU branch yesterday, then carjacked a woman to make his getaway.
The thief entered the branch around 9 am and threatened to use a gun, though he didn’t show one, and demanded money, before fleeing with a pile of cash. He then crossed the street and approached a woman waiting in her car and reached inside the car. The woman tried to drive away, and ran into a fence and the curb, before surrendering her car for the getaway.
By then, the car had two flat-tires and front-end damage.
As he drove off, the robber hit another car.
No one was injured.
