MUSKEGON, Mich. – A retired Muskegon High School assistant principal pleaded guilty to embezzling from Muskegon Teachers CU, where he was office manager.
Kenneth Doctor, 62, was charged with using more than $6,000 from the credit union over a period of time through August 2008 for personal expenses, including paying his own property taxes. The missing money was uncovered as the result of an audit in summer 2008 that resulted in Doctor’s suspension.
Doctor was office manager and treasurer of the board of directors of the credit union, which has since merged with a larger school employees’ credit union.
Doctor earlier worked as assistant principal and dean of administrative services for Muskegon High School. Before that he worked as a teacher.
