OREM, Utah – Family First FCU, which has been weighed down by large losses the past two years, said it has named Kent Moore, a long-time executive at Mountain America CU, to be its president and CEO.
Moore will succeed Dick Chappell, who is retiring as CEO of the $165 million credit union after 16 years at the helm.
Family First reported a $500,000 loss for 2007, a $2 million loss for 2008 and a $445,000 operating loss for the first quarter of 2009. None of this is related to the corporate credit union bailout charge.
Moore spent 30 years at Mountain America in various management positions, recently as senior vice president of branch administration.
