Family First FCU in N.Y. Picks New CEO

Family First Federal Credit Union has named Thomas Dambra as its president and chief executive, the fifth in the credit union’s history.

Dambra joined the CU Sept. 23, replacing former president and CEO Christine Peters. She has left Family First to move outside the Rochester, N.Y., area and had served with the company 18 years, including nearly 10 as president and CEO.

Dambra came to Family First from the $5 billion-asset Tompkins Financial Corp., a New York State-based financial services holding company. At Tompkins Financial, he had served as senior vice president of community banking, overseeing the Bank of Castle and its 15 branches.

The $166 million-asset Family First has branches in East Rochester, Henrietta and Webster.
