AUSTIN, Texas – A 15-year-old boy was charged in last week’s robbery at Austin Telco FCU and his father was charged with being driving the getaway car.

The teen allegedly entered the credit union and handed the teller a demand not, then said he had a gun. The teller pushed the silent alarm and handed the teenager the money.
Police arrested the father and son team after they crashed into another vehicle on South Lamar while trying to get away. Bomb squad officers then called a robot to detonate what appeared to be a pipe bomb inside the vehicle. It turned out there were no explosives in the car.
