FHA Moves To Increase Family Mortgage Limit

The Federal Housing Administration said it has increased its single-family mortgage limit by 7% to match the increases of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. As a result, the FHA will now insure single-family home mortgages up to $154,896 in low-cost areas and up to $280,749 in high-cost areas. The limits on two-, three- and four- family mortgages were also raised.
