CINCINNATI - (09/22/05) -- The Federal Home Loan Bank ofCincinnati said Wednesday it will add $15 million to its affordablehousing grants over two-years to provide housing assistance topeople displaced to Kentucky, Ohio and Tennessee by HurricaneKatrina. All three states are seeing an influx of refugees from themassive hurricane. The FHLB of Dallas also said it has establisheda special $5 million Disaster Relief Grant Program to help fundhousing for Katrina refugees in Louisiana and Mississippi. Thegrants will be awarded through FHLB Dallas institutions and can beused for a variety of purposes, including rehabilitation,construction, working capital, and infrastructure.
