HERNDON, Va. DigitalMailer and the Filene Research Institute have launched a pilot that will develop online brochures for credit unions, part of a larger project by Filene to reduce the paper used by credit unions.
DigitalMailer’s Leeflet, introduced yesterday, is described as a user-friendly service that sends information to members from their credit union to their members’ e-mail inboxes. The product is being sold to banks, also.
DigitalMailer says the typical marketing brochure or circular on terms, rates and conditions is out of date well before the supply runs out. “When you consider the cost of printing and mailing these pieces, it can quickly drain the marketing budget,” said Ron Daley, the company’s president.
DigitalMailer says the benefits of the program are:
Eliminates printing and mailing costs
Allows brochures/circulars to be easily updated
Increases open rate through quick, convenient delivery
Tracks click throughs and brochure performance
Enables faster responses and loan approvals
