Filene Research Institute Rings Closing Bell At New York Stock Exchange

WALL STREET – The New York Stock Exchange will celebrate Financial Literacy Week this afternoon by having representatives of the Center for Financial Services Innovation, Brooklyn Cooperative FCU and the Filene Research Institute ring its ceremonial closing bell at 4:30 pm.

“We are thrilled about this opportunity to help ring the Closing Bell,” said Mark Meyer, CEO of the credit union think tank, who will share the platform. “The recognition this brings to Filene's i3 'Lift' initiative and to the emerging idea of financial capability is really exciting.”

The event comes as CFSI’s Financial Capability Innovation Fund is providing $1.5 million to five nonprofit-led projects, including one by Brooklyn Cooperatve FCU, designed to help consumers better manage their finances and achieve financial prosperity.
