MADISON, Wis. – A savings program targeted at newly single, divorced or widowed credit union members, an initiative rewarding group purchases, and financing options for funeral planning are among a group of eight new projects released into the marketplace by the Filene Research Institute’s i3 Innovations.
The i3 Innovations group has been responsible for bringing several new products and programs to the market in recent years, including Wedding Accounts, Savings Challenges, Prize-Based Savings, No-Excuses Savings, and single “one-accounts” combining all of a members’ loans or savings accounts.
The new projects, introduced last month at Washington, D.C., Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, include a “Single Again” program focusing on the needs of newly single members, a Unite relationship pricing program that will allow a group to benefit from the collective value of participating in certain products and services, and Choice Ending to help people finance funeral arrangements.
Other program introduced last month were: The Big Idea, to help members develop their own small business; First Step, targeting the unbanked market; Sandwich Generation, focusing on members caring for aging parents while supporting their own kids; Collaboration in the Classroom, to get credit union representatives into the local schools; and Airport Oasis Lounge, a designated airport luxury space for credit union members.
