Financial Center FCU Gives High School Its Own Debit Card

INDIANAPOLIS – Financial Center FCU is partnering with the North Central High School athletic department to offer a free checking account and debit card that will give back a percentage of the revenue generated to the school at no cost to the cardholder.

The program includes a North Central-themed debit card and checks – the Indianapolis Colts and area college teams have similar offers – and Financial Center will receive advertising at North Central's athletic venues. It will officially be launched Thursday at the football team's scrimmage with Noblesville.

Financial Center has a student-run branch inside the high school and a financial literacy curriculum through business classes.

The school's goal is to have 500 accounts opened during the 2010-11 school year, with the revenue generated primarily covering transportation.
