First City CU Names New President/CEO

LOS ANGELES–The board of directors of First City Credit Union has announced the appointment of Terry O’Steen to the position of president/CEO.

O’Steen has been with First City since 1995, serving as director of internal audit before he was appointed to the position of senior vice president of member services in 1999.

O’Steen has worked in the financial services industry for more than 35 years, as internal auditor for Bank of America, and as chief operations officer at community banks in Los Angeles County.  He attended Cal State University at Northridge, and the School of Bank Administration in Madison, Wis.

With more than $370 million in assets and 40,000 members, First City serves 80 sponsor groups – including the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Department of Public Social Services, Department of Children and Family Services, and The Claremont Colleges.  First City also serves many communities throughout Los Angeles County and parts of San Bernardino County.
