CHESTERFIELD, Mo. – First Community CU said its youngest members earned more than $7,000 through its “A's Reward Program” during the first semester of the 2007-2008 school year.

The program pays participants under 12 in its Rising STARS program, which encourages savings and financial responsibility, $1 for every “A” he or she earns on each report card.
Almost 1,100 report cards were submitted this semester.
The credit union paid $3,707 for 550 report cards during the same period last year.
