DENVER – First Data Corp. announced this week it has terminated an agreement to acquire InComm, a marketer of stored-value gift and prepaid cards.
Instead, the two companies have signed a distribution agreement that allows First Data and its merchants to sell prepaid products in InComm prepaid card malls.
No reason was given for the change in plans.
First Data was taken private last year in the biggest buyout of the year, by private equity group Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co.
