CHICAGO — First Financial Credit Union is about to welcome a new chief executive.
The $69.4 million CU announced Thursday that Michael Abraham, the vice-president of operations, will take the helm on Dec. 24.
Abraham joined First Financial in 2013 as lending manager, and previously worked in managerial roles at several financial institutions, including TMX Finance and Citigroup.
He will succeed Patrick Basler, who led First Financial for eight years. Basler is moving on to serve as chief strategy officer at the League Service Corporation in Naperville, Ill.
As Basler helps Abraham during the transition, the soon-to-be CEO has set his sights on specific goals.
"First Financial Credit Union is a viable, stable, and convenient financial solution for all eligible [m]embers," he said in a statement. "Finding new ways to engage with potential members on this message is an exciting challenge.
