FEDERAL WAY, Wash. - (04/22/05) -- The CU Association of the West, ajoint effort by the California, Nevada, Oregon and Washingtoncredit union leagues, has been terminated a little more than threeyears after its founding. The association was founded mainly toprovide discounts to credit unions on products and services butnever really got off the ground, according to officials familiarwith the association. In announcing the closure, officials said theassociation had achieved its objectives and that the organizationwas no longer needed although the leagues would continue to have agood working relationship.
