The board of directors for floridacentral Credit Union in Tampa selected Linh Dang to become its next president and chief executive.
The $612 million-asset credit union announced that Dang, who was most recently chief development officer for Addition Financial Credit Union, a $2.7 billion-asset credit union in Lake Mary, Florida, will take on the new roles on Nov. 1. She succeeds Laida Garcia, who according to her
"I appreciate the confidence the board of directors has placed in me to serve the membership, lead the floridacentral team and propel the credit union into the future. … Credit unions are a major driver for economic growth and I am incredibly excited to continue serving our communities and helping members reach their financial dreams," Dang said in a press release Wednesday.
Outside of her tenure with various credit unions, Dang is also the chair of the University of Central Florida Alumni Board and serves on several advisory boards at UCF.
"Linh's leadership experience within the credit union industry and in the community were deciding factors in the selection. … We are thrilled to welcome her as our president and CEO," Margaret Spurrier, board chair for floridacentral, said in the release.
