Former CEO Convicted OfFraud

HOUSTON - (12/10/04) -- The former president of the AldineTeachers CU pleaded guilty to bank fraud this week. James EavesJr., 38, of Houston admitted to defrauding the credit union ofabout $88,000 between April 1999 and October 2000 by cashing checksdue to the credit union and its vendors. He faces up to 30 years injail and a $1 million fine when sentenced.
