Franklin Mint FCU Expands In Area Hospitals With Deal For Main Line Health Employees FCU

BROOMALL, Penn. – Franklin Mint FCU, which has branches in nine area hospitals, will extend its reach into the region’s hospitals with a deal to acquire Main Line Health Employees FCU, a $52 million credit union which serves employees at three local hospitals.

Franklin Mint is one of the biggest credit unions in the region with more than $600 million in assets.

Members of the smaller credit union approved the merger last week.

With the merger, Franklin Mint will have 31 branch locations, 10 inside hospitals, and will have assets of more than $650 million. A new, full-service, seven-day-a-week branch is scheduled to open in the Main Line area in early 2011.
