NEW YORK — SourceMedia, a diversified business-to-business news, marketing solutions, research and events company serving the financial services industry, has appointed Lisa Freeman as editor in chief of Credit Union Journal.

Freeman has been covering credit unions for more than 15 years. Prior to joining CU Journal just one year after its founding, she covered legislative and regulatory issues on Capitol Hill for several B2B publications. She earned an Associated Press award for her work at a small daily newspaper in Ohio.

In her new role, Freeman will advance the brand's digital transformation with a commitment to providing the in-depth news, analysis and strategic insight credit union leaders need to serve their members.
