FSCC To Distribute $930K To Fraud Busters

SAN DIMAS, Calif. – Shared branching network Financial Service Centers Cooperative, Inc., said it will distribute $930,000 among 30 FSCC credit unions as rewards for helping to stop fraud activity during the first and second quarters of 2009.

“The award recipients demonstrated their commitment and diligence in preventing fraud for members nationwide. It is not just their members who would be impacted, but also members of other credit unions,” said FSCC President Sarah Canepa Bang. “Their acts were indeed a demonstration of the cooperative spirit of credit unions.”

FSCC reported that in eight years, credit unions have stopped over $7.4 million in attempted fraud and as a result the company has presented hundreds of its Fraud Buster Awards.
