Porticus Technology Inc. said it has joined with Harborlight Technologies to offer multifactor authentication for electronic banking, including call center and Interactive Voice Response.
The companies will offer either a hosted or managed turnkey gateway solution that will combine Porticus's Versona voice verification and Voice Compass, an interactive voice response application, to automate both enrollment and verification.
Versona is a biometric system based on a patent-pending voice algorithm that relies on physiological aspects of the human voice.
Versona has been tested on impersonators, twins and digital recordings to prove that is not susceptible to being 'spoofed.' The system is compliant with the pending deadline for credit unions and banks to implement multifactor authentication for online transactions by year-end.
