CU*Answers announced that Generations Credit Union, an $18-million institution based in Rockford, Ill., has chosen the Grand Rapids, Mich.-based CUSO to be its new data processor.
Generations CU will start using the CU*BASE® system on Nov. 1.
"Over a two-year period, Generations Credit Union engaged in a full core vendor search project," said Karen Jurasek, Generations CU's CEO in a statement. "We definitely needed to explore all of our options and weigh the benefits for our members. CU*Answers is our solution. This core processing system promotes a member- and employee-friendly sales culture within the credit union."
Jurasek noted that as a CUSO, CU*Answers is owned by credit unions facing similar challenges and opportunities as Generations CU.
"The cooperative business model that drives our credit union is the very same model that drives CU*Answers to deliver a core processing system that supports technology, growth and value-added member services," she added.
